FAQ

Do you have rules, or a code of conduct?
Yes, we do. We can this “The Important Stuff” and you can find that here. It comes with an agreement that students and parents must sign, indicating that they have read, understand, and agree to them.

Do all actors participate in strike after a show?
Again, yes… unless they have a compelling reason to not participate (such as work, family gathering, illness). Again, we spell out our policies regarding tech week (the week leading up to our show) and strike in a form and ask that parents and actors sign on the dotted line. You can see that one, here.

Is Blue Ridge Youth Theater, Inc. a non-profit?
Not at this time, but like to think that we belong a new breed of business known as the Not Just For Profit company. We believe that giving back to the community is important. And we try to operate in an open manner, as would be required of a non-profit. The Artistic Director draws a salary, as do other key personnel, and most of the proceeds from our programming go right back into the company and it’s home – Trackside Theater!

Can we still donate to BRYT, Inc.?
Of course! You can donate to Blue Ridge Youth Theater, Inc., in a few ways:

  • Through PayPal (see the “donate” button in the upper right sidebar;
  • At the Trackside Theater Box Office – 32B East Main Street, Luray;
  • By sending a check made payable to BRYT, Inc. to PO Box 614, Luray VA 22835.

Please bear in mind, however, that contributions to BRYT, Inc., are not tax deductible at this time.

Are you looking for advertisers or program sponsors?
Always. We can seat up to 75 people per show, so our program book is a great way to reach people. And it shows our community that you care about bringing not only theater, but other performing arts, to the youth of Page County. If you’d like to discuss the possibilities, call Kira at the Trackside Theater Box Office (540) 743-1099.
